Al Cioni – Dealer Spotlight

Located in Granville, Al Cioni Ford has been proudly family owned and operated since
Al Cioni, Sr. purchased the Granville Motor Company that year and served as its president until his passing in 1998. Afterward, his son Al Cioni took over the franchise and formed Al Cioni Ford.

Keeping with the family legacy, the Cioni family business is looking toward its next generational owner when Al retires, his daughter Laura Vaessen.

Laura has been part of the business for the last 11 years and is currently being mentored by her father to learn the ins-and-outs of the industry.

To further hone her expertise, she serves as the dealership’s representative at executive meetings at Ford Headquarters and regional meetings and continue to fall in love with the brand even more while attending official Ford and Ford Bronco events across the Midwest. Laura has even been a guest on podcasts about Ford vehicles.

Though Laura already bleeds Ford Blue after a lifetime surrounded by Ford vehicles, she continues to learn and better herself.

“I’m working to learn as much as I can day by day and always care about improving Al Cioni Ford to better ourselves and our service for our customers.”

Their number one priority at Al Cioni Ford is to keep on serving the community and giving that “Great Experience” to whomever walks in the door for either service or sales.

Laura aims to continue the dealership’s legacy, including its motto of, “there is no baloney at Al Cioni Ford.” The dealership takes extreme pride in its commitment to its customers and transparency from service to sales.

“I am extremely proud of Laura and how she is embodying and representing the Al Cioni motto,” said Al Cioni. “I know our dealership is in great hands with Laura and the rest of our family, to ensure the best quality customer service for years to come.”

“My dad strives to better himself and therefore the business every day, solidifying the trust he has built between the customers and his business over the years,” Laura said. “Our team values hard work and dedication to our customers as well. Small, but mighty, where we treat our customers like family.”

The dealership has been recognized by Ford for years because of its dedication to customer service. In 2018, a representative from headquarters traveled to Granville during the dealership’s 50th Celebration to award Al with two gold pins for his hard work and dedication. Al is also an 11-time winner of Ford’s President’s Award, the highest honor from the company for both its sales and service of excellence.

“Our family is beyond grateful and proud that Al has won his award for the past four consecutive years,” Laura said. “This is extremely hard to achieve, and my dad thanks his hardworking staff and wonderful customers for making it happen!”

Al and Laura aren’t the only family members who make Al Cioni Ford so successful. Al’swife Monnie has been part of the dealership for 25 years and serves as the finance advisor and has a way with customers during the sale process that helps make them feel comfortable and right at home.

Laura’s husband Jared oversees the service department, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, including work as a service technician before joining Al Cioni.  Jared is a great team leader working with all his service team and keeps them rolling. Every day, he strives for excellent customer service and keeping Granville area motorists safe on the road–something Al Cioni Ford is known for in the community.
