11/17 - Governor Announces New COVID-19 Mitigation MeasuresOn Tuesday afternoon, Governor Pritzker announced new COVID-19 mitigation measures that will take effect on Friday, November 20th at 12:01 AM. The only direct impact on motor vehicle dealerships is that capacity for all retail establishments will be limited to 25% of capacity when the new measures take effect. Section 5. During the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation, the provision of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 820 ILCS 405/500(D), requiring a one-week waiting period for unemployment insurance claims is suspended for claimants who are unemployed and who are otherwise eligible for unemployment insurance benefits.
